Salesforce Technical Architect London (Hybrid) Up to £130,000 DOE
Join a Leading Consultancy Business Delivering Enterprise Salesforce Transformation A leading consultancy business is seeking a talented Salesforce Technical Architect to play a pivotal role in delivering large-scale Salesforce transformation programmes for ambitious organisations. Working at the intersection of Salesforce, Data and emerging AI technologies, you'll help clients solve complex business and technology challenges through robust, scalable, enterprise-grade solutions. This is an opportunity to join a growing consultancy environment where technical excellence, innovation and continuous learning are highly valued. You'll work alongside experienced architects, consultants and delivery teams, leading the technical direction of multi-cloud Salesforce programmes while helping shape best practices, technical standards and future capabilities.
The Role As a Salesforce Technical Architect, you will take ownership of the technical architecture across complex Salesforce implementations, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable and aligned to both business and technical objectives. You'll provide leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle, working closely with Solution Architects, Developers, Business Analysts and client stakeholders to design and implement high-quality Salesforce solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical architecture for large-scale, complex Salesforce implementations
- Define and govern solution architecture across multiple Salesforce clouds and integrated technologies
- Provide technical leadership to development teams throughout project delivery
- Ensure solutions are designed in line with Salesforce best practice, scalability and security standards
- Review technical designs and provide guidance on complex implementation challenges
- Support deployment, release management and environment strategies
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and project teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Drive technical quality and architectural governance throughout the project lifecycle
- Contribute to internal technical communities, capability development and innovation initiatives
- Support the adoption of AI-enabled tools and approaches to enhance delivery efficiency and solution quality

What We're Looking For Salesforce Technical Architecture Expertise You will have significant experience designing and delivering enterprise Salesforce solutions, with a strong understanding of platform capabilities, architecture patterns and technical governance. Experience should include:
- Acting as a lead Technical Architect on complex Salesforce programmes
- Extensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform and its architectural capabilities
- Strong experience across:
- Sales Cloud
- Service Cloud
- Experience Cloud
- Exposure to one or more of:
- Revenue Cloud
- Marketing Cloud Advanced
- CRM Analytics (CRMA)
- Industry Clouds such as Health Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud or Education Cloud
- Experience designing solutions involving Agentforce and emerging AI capabilities
- Deep understanding of Salesforce security, access controls and platform governance
- Strong knowledge of declarative and programmatic development approaches
Solution Architecture & Design You'll be responsible for producing and governing technical architecture outputs, including:
- End-to-end technical solution designs
- High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation
- System architecture and technical landscape documentation
- Integration architecture and technical design decisions
- Data architecture and data migration strategies
- Security architecture and permission models
- Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and supporting architecture artefacts
You'll also:
- Define architecture standards and technical design principles
- Review and assure technical solutions produced by delivery teams
- Provide technical coaching and guidance to developers and consultants
- Support architectural decision-making across complex delivery programmes

Integration & Platform Design Experience with:
- Designing and documenting Salesforce integration approaches
- Evaluating integration patterns and technologies
- Working with both internal and external system users and requirements
- Delivering solutions involving third-party Salesforce applications and products
- Integrating technologies such as document generation, e-signature, CTI and industry-specific platforms
Delivery & Stakeholder Management You'll demonstrate:
- Experience working effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong workshop facilitation and technical discovery skills
- The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language
- Experience supporting QA, testing and successful UAT outcomes
- A collaborative approach to working across architecture, development and business teams
- Experience mentoring and developing junior technical team members
DevOps & Release Management You'll have practical experience with:
- Salesforce metadata deployment processes
- Release management and environment strategies
- Version control and deployment automation
- Gearset and GitHub
Certifications The ideal candidate will hold, or be working towards:
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect
- Additional Salesforce architecture certifications would be highly advantageous
