Senior Salesforce Developer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to join a development, QA and application support function responsible for delivering, enhancing and supporting a complex Salesforce platform. This role focuses on the development, customisation, integration and long-term support of Salesforce Energy and Utilities Cloud, using modern Salesforce technologies including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), OmniStudio and Flows.

Working closely with developers, QA engineers, administrators, application support teams and technical stakeholders, you will take ownership of the platform, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, well documented and operationally ready. You will also collaborate with integration teams and third-party technology partners to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions across the wider Salesforce ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and enhance Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), OmniStudio, Flows and related technologies to extend core Energy and Utilities Cloud functionality across areas including sales, contracts, renewals, broker management, credit, risk and site management.
  • Develop advanced declarative and programmatic solutions, combining complex automation, validation, configuration and custom development to deliver robust business functionality while following Salesforce best practices.
  • Build and maintain Salesforce integration components, including REST/SOAP APIs, Apex callouts, Platform Events and Change Data Capture (CDC), ensuring reliable and secure data exchange with external systems.
  • Take ownership of technical quality by reviewing delivered solutions, assessing maintainability, identifying technical debt and ensuring all developments are fully understood, documented and suitable for long-term operational support.
  • Support software quality through code reviews, unit testing, defect investigation, troubleshooting and technical diagnosis across Apex, Lightning components, Flows, OmniStudio and platform configuration.
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering custom developments, integrations, data structures and operational procedures, ensuring knowledge is captured and easily transferable within the team.
  • Support release management by preparing deployment packages, managing environments, executing controlled releases and contributing to CI/CD pipelines that are repeatable, reliable and audit-ready.
  • Work collaboratively with development, QA, application support and delivery teams to ensure smooth knowledge transfer, successful project delivery and ongoing platform stability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
