Job Title: Salesforce Developer
Location: London/Hybrid
Contract Type: Contract – 12 months initial – renewable
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Developer to join our team and support the design, development, configuration, and enhancement of our Salesforce platform. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, administrators, architects, and technical teams to deliver scalable Salesforce solutions that improve business processes, user experience, and overall platform performance.
This role requires a strong understanding of Salesforce development best practice, hands-on experience with Apex and Lightning Web Components, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or other Salesforce products.
- Build and maintain custom functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Flows, Triggers, and APIs.
- Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and convert them into technical designs.
- Configure Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, workflows, approval processes, flows, and reports.
- Develop integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or other integration tools.
- Support data migration, data quality, and data modelling activities within Salesforce.
- Troubleshoot platform issues, identify root causes, and implement effective fixes.
- Ensure development follows Salesforce best practices around security, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, release management, and deployment activities.
- Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer to internal teams.
- Work as part of an Agile delivery team, contributing to sprint planning, estimation, demos, and retrospectives.

Required Skills and Experience
- Strong hands-on Salesforce development experience.
- Proven experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flows, Triggers, and SOQL.
- Experience working with Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud.
- Good understanding of Salesforce configuration, including objects, fields, permissions, profiles, roles, sharing rules, validation rules, and automation.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, or middleware platforms.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security, governor limits, and development best practices.
- Experience with deployment tools such as Salesforce CLI, Change Sets, Copado, Gearset, or similar.
- Good knowledge of Git or other source control tools.
- Ability to gather requirements, challenge assumptions, and propose practical technical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills
- Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, Administrator, App Builder, or Sales Cloud Consultant.
- Experience with Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, CPQ, Financial Services Cloud, or MuleSoft.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes within a Salesforce environment.
- Experience working in financial services, recruitment, professional services, or another regulated environment.
- Understanding of data migration tools such as Data Loader, Talend, Informatica, or similar.
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web development practices.
