Salesforce Developer
Salesforce Developer – Private Bank Wealth Management (Project PRISM) – Glasgow
Join Barclays and hackajob’s collaboration to shape the future of finance!
About the Role
In collaboration with Barclays, we’re recruiting exceptional Salesforce Developers for the Private Bank Wealth Management team. This role will focus on Project PRISM, a major 2026 front-office productivity initiative aimed at integrating core banking systems, re-engineering processes, and enhancing advisor workflows for higher-impact engagements.
You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering greenfield development on Salesforce, designing microservices, API-led integrations, and orchestration layers that enable scalable, resilient, and GenAI-powered workflows. Working with platforms like Avaloq and enterprise data systems, you’ll accelerate technological innovation in a fast-paced, agile environment, with opportunities to expand into CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) applications.
A strong Salesforce background, alongside Java or equivalent backend development experience, is essential. With growth potential into leadership responsibilities, this role is ideal for developers who want to shape the future of Salesforce and wealth management technology.
This position is based at our Glasgow Campus.
Key Accountabilities
Technical Delivery
- Design, develop, and improve custom Solutions (Salesforce platform) using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and declarative tools like Flows, focusing on clean, scalable, and performant software.
- Build microservices, API integrations, and orchestration layers to connect Salesforce with other financial systems (Avaloq, enterprise data systems).
- Enforce secure coding practices, ensuring compliance with banking regulations and mitigation of vulnerabilities.
- Implement unit testing, CI/CD, and version control (Git, SFDX) to maintain high code quality and accelerate deployment cycles.
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies, such as AI/ML integrations (Einstein AI, Prompt Builder, Agentforce), event-driven architectures, and BizTalk-like enterprise data models.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
