Salesforce Developer Malcolmson | Newcastle upon Tyne (Hybrid – 3 days in-office per week)
The Opportunity
Looking for a meaty development role where you can truly own the codebase? Mason Frank has partnered with a rapidly growing company in Newcastle to find a Salesforce Developer to join their tight-knit, collaborative tech team.
Working alongside two experienced Salesforce Developers and a Salesforce Admin, you’ll manage a highly customised estate supporting over 200 internal users across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud. This is a brilliant opportunity to drive a major tech-improvement programme, transitioning legacy customisations into modern Salesforce architecture.
The Role
This comprehensive development role balances complex new feature builds, critical integrations, and legacy refactoring:
- Modernise the Org: Lead the migration of legacy Aura components and Visualforce pages into cutting-edge Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Custom Apex Engineering: Design, build, and maintain triggers, batch jobs, queueable Apex, and scheduled jobs, while strictly managing Governor Limits.
- Enterprise Integration: Build and maintain robust connections between Salesforce and external systems (ERPs, marketing automation platforms) using REST, SOAP APIs, and Platform Events.
- DevOps & Best Practices: Champion code reviews, maintain Git/Salesforce DX workflows, and ensure up-to-date documentation.
- Collaborative Delivery: Partner with the Salesforce Admin using a "configuration-first" approach, escalating to custom code only when solving complex business problems.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
