Why This Role Matters
The Salesforce Engineer will work closely with the Technical Lead, Product Manager, and wider engineering teams to design, build, test, and support Salesforce solutions.

Key responsibility: forming scalable, maintainable solutions while helping evolve the technical standards, frameworks, and best practices across the Salesforce estate.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Solution Delivery
- Build, configure, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions
- Develop custom functionality using Salesforce platform technologies
- Assist in designing and implementing integrations with internal and external systems
- Investigate and resolve technical issues across development, testing, and production environments
- Support ongoing enhancements and development of Salesforce applications
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
Technical Ownership
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Technical Leads, and the Architecture Team to oversee technical work items from refinement to deployment
- Work closely with the Technical Lead to understand architectural patterns and implementation standards
- Contribute to technical documentation (solution designs, sequence diagrams, process flows)
- Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and technical improvement
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities

Engineering Excellence
- Follow established development standards, DevOps processes, and coding best practices
- Contribute to internal frameworks, reusable components, and technical accelerators
- Ensure scalable, maintainable, secure solutions
- Support testing activities and framework designs (unit, integration, user acceptance)
- Continuously develop knowledge of Salesforce and broader software engineering practices
- Collaborate with broader teams across Christie’s Technology to understand the full development and application lifecycle
- Gain exposure to considerations in Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Data Privacy, Product Ownership, and Application Support
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications
- Degree-level education preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related subjects
- Training and Certification in Salesforce technologies is advantageous
Experience
- 2+ years in software engineering, platform engineering, or application development (with a focus on Salesforce)
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Apex, or similar)
Technical Understanding
Core Software Engineering Fundamentals
- Understanding and experience with:
- APIs (softwareтахна)
- Data modelling
- Version control systems
- Testing methodologies
- CI/CD practices
- Object-oriented design principles
Salesforce Specialised Skills
- Configuration-based automation (Salesforce Flows, validation rules, formula fields)
- Apex trigger-based automation
- Apex programming language
- Salesforce-specific protocols (SOQL/DML and best practices relevant to them)
- UI/UX features including:
- Standard Salesforce UI components (Flexipages, Layouts)
- Custom Lightning Web Components
- Complex Lightning Component structures
Non-Technical Competencies
- Experience working within Agile-teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrable capacity to produce clear, concise, detailed documentation
- Ability to deliver accurate estimates and meet deadlines
- Methodical and collaborative approach:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and strengthen stakeholder and peer relationships
- Flexibility, pragmatic mindset, and comfort working with incomplete information
- Ability to function effectively under pressure
