Salesforce Engineer
Salesforce Developer – Product Engineering Team (ISV)
We’re hiring Salesforce Developer (ISV) in Winnersh (Reading area), UK | Hybrid (3 days onsite)
About Sage People and the Role
Sage People is a global HR & people management SaaS product, built entirely on the Salesforce (Force.com) platform, serving customers worldwide. As an ISV (Independent Software Vendor), we focus on a single product, prioritising code quality, scalability, and long-term architecture.
Salesforce is the #1 global CRM platform — a mature, enterprise-grade ecosystem combining:
- Apex (a strongly typed, server-side language),
- Lightning Web Components (LWC) (standards-based frontend development).
Our work emphasises software engineering best practices, including object-oriented design, automated testing, performance tuning, and CI/CD.
Team Culture & Environment
This role is exceptional because of our team:
- A stable, close-knit engineering group, many with 8+ years together.
- A supportive, collaborative, and enjoyable workplace.
- Developers, testers, product managers, and architects working daily as one team.
- A culture rooted in shared ownership, learning, and technical discussions.
- Strong leadership investing in AI and Salesforce innovation.
- A modern office in Winnersh, complemented by a hybrid model for in-person collaboration.
Here, collaboration overshadows hierarchy, and people stay because of the work, the team, and the shared enjoyment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
