Salesforce OMS Team Lead
Role Summary
The Salesforce OMS Technical Lead is accountable for the detailed technical design, build quality, and delivery governance of Salesforce Order Management implementations. Building on strong hands-on OMS development expertise, the role leads technical design, integration approach, and technical decision-making across complex retail and eCommerce order lifecycles, while mentoring developers and ensuring alignment to Salesforce best practices and enterprise architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce OMS Technical Ownership

- Translate business and operational requirements into scalable, configuration-first OMS solutions, introducing Apex or custom extensions only where platform limits are reached.
- Act as the technical authority for Salesforce OMS across the programme, approving design patterns, customisation decisions, and data models.
Architecture & Integration Leadership
- Define and govern API-led and event-driven integrations between Salesforce OMS and upstream/downstream systems including Commerce, ERP, WMS, payment platforms, and inventory services.
- Lead the use of OMS-specific capabilities such as Order Summary integration, payment flows, fulfilment routing, and OCI-based inventory management.
- Ensure integrations meet non-functional requirements for performance, resilience, security, and scalability.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
