Our Data, Technology and Innovation (DTI) division delivers a secure, agile, cost-effective technology and data ecosystem to support: ✔ Smarter decision-making ✔ Transparency ✔ Operational efficiency
Within DTI, the Digital Systems team is responsible for the systems enabling the FCA to be a more effective regulator.
Role Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing architectural product solutions (technology and services) ensuring they align with product objectives in a repeatable, generic fashion while addressing capacity management, IT service management (ITSCM), security, and licensing.
- Identifying product innovation opportunities and developing design proposals for implementation.
- Shaping product roadmaps, defining:
- Scope
- Prioritisation
- Timeframes for capability delivery
- Leading communities of practice through:
- Thought leadership
- Coaching
- Mentoring to enhance skills in business, technical, and product architecture across IT.
- Working on high-impact, fast-paced initiatives leveraging:
- Latest tools, technologies, and training
- Continuously building in-demand technical expertise
- Collaborating in a supportive, inclusive culture to maximise performance and growth.
- Contributing to the regulation of financial services, ensuring critical infrastructure integrity and impact on millions of lives.

Minimum & Essential Requirements
Minimum Skills
✅ Proven experience with Salesforce CRM ✅ Experience as a product architect (e.g., Software, Data, Application, System, or Security) with architectural responsibility for products. ✅ Significant experience in delivering end-to-end project/product lifecycles, adhering to methodologies like:
- Prince2
- Scrum, Agile
- DevOps Cooperation with employees, third parties, and offshore suppliers.
Essential Skills & Certifications
🔹 Salesforce proficiency:
- Certified Salesforce Architect/Developer/Admin roles.
- Progress toward additional certifications.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce OmniStudio/Vlocity.
🔹 Solution architecture expertise:
- Extensive experience in large-scale enterprise projects.
- Strong background in either financial services or government regulations.
- Proven ability to deliver strategies, roadmaps, and architectural plans.
🔹 Architecture innovation & methodology:
- Consistent adherence to enterprise architecture principles.
- Converts project-specific needs into reusable generic architecture models.
🔹 Certifications & tool experience:
- Certified in TOGAF and ITIL.
- Practical experience with architecture tools like:
- Erwin
- Solidatus
- Proficiency in UML.
🔹 Technical & commercial awareness:
- Broad knowledge of modern technology trends.
- Understands IT for services and follows best-practice application architectures.
- Ability to interpret supplier proposals, weighing trade-offs to achieve cost-effective solutions.
