About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Engineer to join J.P. Morgan's Personal Investing division. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping and developing the Salesforce platforms that support our Customer Service, Marketing, and Operations teams. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing standalone Salesforce products, as well as integrating these solutions with J.P. Morgan's core services to enhance the customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a passion for fintech innovation, and a solution-oriented mindset. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative ideas to life, ensuring seamless automation, integrations, and user-friendly interfaces that meet the needs of both clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Certified Salesforce Developer (minimum Platform Developer 1 certification)
  • Experience with platform development, including Async Apex
  • Proficiency in Service & Sales Cloud development
  • Strong knowledge of SOQL/SOSL/DML operations and query optimization techniques
  • Experience with REST API integrations with external services
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies, frameworks, and integration testing
  • Experience working within Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies
  • Knowledge of migration tools and deployment processes
  • Hands-on experience with Lightning Web Components
  • Understanding of clean architecture principles in object-oriented programming
  • Passion for creating maintainable, clean, and highly testable code and components

Preferred qualifications include multiple Salesforce certifications, experience with external integrations such as Amazon Connect and backend APIs, familiarity with relational databases like MySQL, Postgres, or Oracle, and full-stack Salesforce development expertise. Knowledge of CI/CD principles and automated testing, as well as experience with Marketing Cloud, are also advantageous.

Responsibilities

As a Salesforce Engineer at J.P. Morgan, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining Salesforce services such as referral and promotion systems, automation alerts, and email services
  • Creating custom Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages to enhance user interfaces
  • Designing and implementing solutions across all core Salesforce platforms, including Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Marketing Cloud
  • Integrating Salesforce with external systems like Amazon Connect, REST APIs, and other third-party applications
  • Utilizing out-of-the-box Salesforce tools such as scheduler, milestones, and forecasting to streamline operations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop solutions, and deliver high-quality products
  • Ensuring code quality through rigorous testing, documentation, and adherence to best practices
  • Participating in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Supporting migration and deployment activities using relevant tools and frameworks
