Job Description – Salesforce Techno-Functional Consultant
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Techno-Functional Consultant to bridge business requirements with technical implementation, delivering scalable Salesforce solutions across Sales, Service, Experience, and AI-enabled capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional consulting skills combined with hands-on Salesforce configuration and development experience, enabling successful end-to-end solution delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Consulting
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand objectives, processes, and pain points.
- Facilitate workshops to gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solution designs.
- Produce user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Support solution demonstrations, UAT, training, and change management activities.
Technical Delivery
- Configure Salesforce using standard platform capabilities including Flows, Validation Rules, Approval Processes, Reports, Dashboards, Permission Sets, and Security.
- Design and implement custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and Lightning Experience.
- Develop integrations with enterprise applications using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and middleware.
- Support data migration, deployment, release management, and environment strategy.
- Ensure solutions follow Salesforce best practices, security standards, and governance.

Solution Architecture & Delivery
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners, and Delivery Managers.
- Participate in solution design, estimation, sprint planning, and technical reviews.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and optimisation opportunities throughout delivery.
- Support CI/CD and DevOps practices for Salesforce deployments.
- Contribute to reusable assets, accelerators, and delivery best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
Functional
- 5–10+ years of experience delivering Salesforce implementations.
- Strong knowledge of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Experience with business process analysis and requirements elicitation.
- Ability to facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and stakeholder management skills.
Technical
- Hands-on experience with:
- Apex
- Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Visualforce (desirable)
- Salesforce Flow
- SOQL/SOSL
- REST/SOAP APIs
- Platform Events
- Integration patterns
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Gearset, Copado, or Salesforce DevOps Center.
- Familiarity with Git-based source control.

Preferred Experience
- Experience with Agentforce, Einstein AI, Salesforce Data Cloud, or AI capabilities.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP, banking, CRM, or enterprise platforms.
- Knowledge of MuleSoft or other integration platforms.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Experience within Financial Services, Insurance, or Capital Markets is highly desirable.
Certifications
Preferred certifications include:
- Salesforce Certified Administrator
- Salesforce Platform App Builder
- Salesforce Platform Developer I
- Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant
- Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant
- Salesforce AI Associate or Agentforce-related certifications (preferred)
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, enterprise transformation programmes.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Financial Services Cloud.
- Experience with Experience Cloud.
- Knowledge of Data Cloud, AI, and Agentic AI implementations.
- Exposure to enterprise architecture, governance, and large-scale transformation programmes.
