Sales/Station Assistant GPR (3608)

About the Role

As a Sales/Station Assistant GPR, you will be passionate about delivering outstanding customer service each and every time. You will often be the first point of contact our customers will meet on their journey and it is therefore a vital role for making our customers' day.

Please note this is a multi-functional role, you will both be working on the Platform and on the Ticket Office.

Due to the shift times you must live in the local area and have available independent transport to ensure that you arrive at the station for the early shift as required as there may not always be a train service available.

All stations based roles may involve standing for long periods of time and working shifts including weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

As a Sales/Station Assistant GPR, you must be able to demonstrate a ‘can do' attitude, strong customer focus and excellent communication skills, all with the customer at the forefront. Working on a shift basis, including weekends, this role is multi-functional and delivers customer service activity across the station including ticket office and platform activities. On a day to day basis you will be in the Ticket Office or on the station dispatching the trains and proactively finding the right ticket for our customers while delivering excellent customer service to new and regular customers. We have the latest computer based ticketing system which is able to provide any information our customers may need and has direct access to our intranet.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
