Title: SAP ABAP Developer Location: North West, UK (Hybrid) Duration: Contract through to 31/10/2026 Contract Type: Inside IR35 contract Rate: up to £700 per day (DOE)
Overview We’re looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Technical Consultant to support delivery across a range of high-profile client programmes. This opportunity suits someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, has delivered across end-to-end SAP implementations, and is confident working autonomously within modern SAP landscapes.
Candidates with active SC Clearance are highly preferred; however, individuals eligible to obtain clearance will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities Contribute to the technical delivery of SAP solutions within client environments Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes Play a key role in shaping and supporting strategically important SAP programmes Maintain high delivery standards, ensuring solutions are robust and aligned to best practices Support testing cycles including system validation and user acceptance activities Share knowledge within the wider SAP capability, contributing to continuous improvement Ensure adherence to internal quality controls, governance frameworks, and delivery processes

Required Skills & Experience Solid track record as an SAP ABAP specialist, with involvement across full project lifecycles Strong development capability across modern SAP tooling, including: S/4HANA environments CDS Views and data modelling OData / SAP Gateway services Adobe lifecycle forms Practical experience applying Clean Core principles within ABAP development Exposure to building and enhancing Fiori-based reporting solutions Confident engaging with stakeholders, with strong client-facing communication skills Proven ability to deliver technical outputs independently

Desirable Broader SAP technical experience across areas such as: Enhancements (BADI, User Exits), Function Modules and BAPIs Data Dictionary objects and data handling Integration services and APIs Reporting optimisation and performance improvement Familiarity with SAP PO/PI or integration middleware Experience working within HANA-optimised ABAP environments
*This position requires some hybrid working, onsite a few days per month in North West, UK. The successful candidate will also need to travel to Germany and the Netherlands for workshops at the start of new project phases.
