SAP ABAP/UI5/Fiori Developer
Discover are working closely with a Birmingham based customer that is now entering the next phase of its SAP S/4HANA programme and is looking to bring in an experienced SAP ABAP/UI5/Fiori Developer to strengthen the capabilities of the development team.
The project is moving beyond the core implementation and into a busy delivery phase, with a strong pipeline of enhancements, custom developments and Fiori application work planned over the coming months. You'll be involved in designing and building new Fiori applications, enhancing existing developments and supporting the wider S/4HANA landscape as the programme progresses.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and enhance SAP applications using ABAP, SAPUI5 and Fiori.
- Build and customise Fiori applications to support new business requirements.
- Develop CDS Views, OData Services and RAP objects where required.
- Work closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Produce high-quality, reusable code while following SAP development best practices.
- Support integration, testing and deployment activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and optimise existing developments.

Required Experience
- Strong commercial experience developing in SAP ABAP.
- Proven delivery experience with SAPUI5 and SAP Fiori applications.
- Experience developing OData Services and CDS Views.
- Good understanding of SAP Gateway and Fiori Launchpad configuration.
- Previous experience working on SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes.
- Ability to work independently within an Agile project environment.
- Experience with RAP and SAP BTP development.
- Exposure to Clean Core principles and SAP extensibility.
- Knowledge of Git-enabled change management or CI/CD pipelines within SAP.

Contract Details
- Location: Mainly remote working with limited onsite work in Birmingham
- Duration: Until 31/12/26
- Start: ASAP
- Rate: £500 - £540 / day
This is a good opportunity to join an active SAP programme where you'll have the chance to contribute to ongoing project delivery rather than simply providing BAU support.
