About the Role

About Us

This organisation is a longstanding British retailer operating across food, clothing and home categories with an extensive physical and digital footprint. The business manages grocery, apparel, and homewares divisions while maintaining financial services and a strategic online grocery partnership. The enterprise is focused on modernising its supply chain and digital platforms to support omnichannel operations and sustainability targets.

Job Description

The SAP Data Migration Lead will direct the planning and delivery of master and transactional data migration into SAP S/4HANA for a complex retail transformation. The role requires ownership of migration strategy, technical specification, validations and cutover orchestration to preserve data integrity across merchandising, stores, logistics and finance. Success will be demonstrated by accurate, auditable data transfers, minimal business disruption during cutover and timely stakeholder reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the end-to-end data migration strategy aligned to retail operating models and S/4HANA requirements.
  • Lead data discovery, profiling, cleansing and mapping activities across legacy and target systems.
  • Author migration specifications, transformation rules and validation plans.
  • Coordinate test migrations, reconciliation runs and sign-off processes with business and IT teams.
  • Manage external partners and internal squads to keep delivery on budget and schedule.
  • Design cutover sequencing, rollback procedures and contingency plans to protect trading continuity.
  • Establish data quality KPIs and reporting for ongoing assurance and auditability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
