About the Role

Focus on SAP, a specialist recruitment organisation, is seeking an experienced SAP Environment Manager to oversee the following:

  • End-to-end SAP landscape management, including development, testing, and production environments.
  • Governance, scheduling, and usage policies across environments.
  • Transport governance and release readiness processes.
  • System stability, availability, and minimal operational risk for SAP transformation programmes.

You’ll collaborate with multiple teams—SAP Basis, Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Functional—to ensure seamless delivery of projects without operational interruptions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee SAP landscape environments (Development, QA, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production).
  • Define and enforce environment governance, scheduling, and usage policies.
  • Manage the SAP Transport Management System (TMS) and its lifecycle processes.
  • Coordinate release cycles across environments to minimise business disruption.
  • Plan and execute system refreshes, client copies, and data masking activities.
  • Ensure readiness for Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), UAT, and production deployments.
  • Manage environment availability across concurrent projects, dependencies, and scheduling conflicts.
  • Drive release planning, environment readiness, and deployment governance.
  • Identify and address environment-related risks promptly.
  • Maintain documentation, standards, and operational procedures.

Key Skills & Experience

Applicants should possess:

  • Extensive experience in SAP Environment Management.
  • Proficiency in:
    • SAP Landscape Management and Transport Management System (TMS).
    • SAP ChaRM (Change Request Management) and SAP Solution Manager.
    • SAP System Refreshes, Client Copies, and Data Masking.
    • SAP Basis fundamentals and Landscape Governance.
  • Expertise in release planning, environment scheduling, and risk/issue resolution.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination abilities.
  • SAP project lifecycle experience.
