SAP EWM Consultant
SAP EWM Consultant Location: UK (Hybrid) Employment Type: Permanent Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 (dependent on skills and experience)
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM Consultant to join a major supply chain transformation programme.
- Join as the SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Subject Matter Expert
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of SAP EWM across a large warehouse and manufacturing environment
- Work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and third-party partners to deliver innovative warehouse management solutions
- Support the wider SAP S/4HANA roadmap
- Role is primarily project-focused with occasional third-line support post-implementation
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the SAP EWM Subject Matter Expert organisation-wide
- Gather and analyse business requirements, documenting current and future warehouse processes
- Design and configure SAP EWM solutions aligned with SAP best practices and business needs
- Lead and coordinate external implementation partners and consultants
- Deliver functional, integration and user acceptance testing
- Produce functional, technical, and end-user documentation
- Support cutover, go-live activities and transition to business-as-usual support
- Provide third-line support for SAP EWM where needed
- Contribute to the SAP S/4HANA roadmap and future enhancement projects
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in warehouse operations

Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with:
- SAP EWM, SAP WM, or SAP LE
- Experience with at least one SAP EWM implementation project
- Proficiency in SAP ECC6 and/or SAP S/4HANA environments
- Deep understanding of warehouse processes (e.g., inbound, outbound, and internal operations), including:
- Value Added Services (VAS)
- Quality Inspection
- Expected Goods Receipt (EGR)
- Wave Management
- Physical Inventory
- Posting Changes
- Configuration expertise in:
- Warehouse organisational structures
- Handling units
- Packaging specifications
- Master data
- SAP EWM Post Processing Framework (PPF)
- Experience integrating SAP ERP with SAP EWM
- Strong knowledge of:
- SAP configuration & system enhancements
- Analysis, solution design, testing, implementation, and documentation
- Data migration activities
- Analytical & problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
- Self-motivated, organised—capable of independent work and collaboration in project teams.

Desirable Experience
- SAP EWM Certification
- Experience with:
- Labour Management
- Yard Management
- Cross-Docking
- Familiarity with:
- SAP mobile technologies (e.g., SAP Console, ITS Mobile, RFID, RF Framework)
- Interfaces (using RFC, ALE, IDoc, or Web Services)
- Knowledge of SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM)
- Broad cross-functional SAP expertise
- Proficiency in an additional European language (advantageous)
