About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO to join our team and take ownership of our SAP Finance application landscape. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, enhancing, and supporting SAP FICO solutions that enable efficient, compliant, and scalable finance operations across the organisation.

You will collaborate closely with Finance stakeholders, Solution Architects, and SAP technical teams to deliver robust solutions, optimise business processes, and ensure seamless integration across the wider SAP ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert support for SAP FICO modules, resolving incidents, fulfilling service requests, and performing root-cause analysis.
  • Configure and enhance SAP Finance processes across:
    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Asset Accounting
    • Controlling (CO)
    • Tax
    • Banking
  • Support SAP upgrades, enhancement packs, and FICO-related patching activities.
  • Partner with architects and developers to design integrated SAP solutions.
  • Ensure rigorous testing of configuration changes, interfaces, and enhancements.
  • Create and maintain functional specifications, process maps, and technical documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within SAP Finance and associated applications.
  • Monitor application performance and support release and deployment activities.

Required Experience

  • Extensive hands-on experience with SAP FICO configuration, support, troubleshooting, and process optimisation.
  • Proven experience as an SAP FICO Consultant, SAP Functional Analyst, or Senior SAP Engineer within a complex SAP environment.
  • Strong understanding of SAP integration points with MM, SD, HCM, Ariba, and reporting platforms.
  • Experience working directly with Finance stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver enhancements.
  • Experience operating within an ITIL-aligned support environment.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • SAP FICO certification is highly desirable.
