Sap Finance Control Consultant
SAP FICO Consultant
£600/day | Outside IR35 | Fully Remote
We’re looking for an experienced SAP FICO Consultant to support a critical SAP finance programme with a strong focus on banking integration, payments, and regulatory compliance. This role will play a key part in supporting new entity onboarding, finance process enhancements, and banking compliance initiatives linked to evolving payment standards such as ISO 20022.
Responsibilities
- Analyse finance processes, identify improvement opportunities, and design SAP FICO solutions.
- Configure and enhance SAP FI functionality across:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Asset Accounting (AA)
- Tax Accounting
- Bank Accounting
- Support the setup of new legal entities, company codes, tax structures, and finance processes.
- Deliver banking integrations, payment solutions, and Electronic Bank Statements (EBS) while meeting related compliance requirements.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, third-party vendors, and technical teams to drive successful delivery.
- Support SIT, UAT, cutover activities, and post-go-live stabilisation.
- Produce functional specifications, process documentation, and testing artefacts.
- Contribute to on-going process improvement and governance initiatives.

Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP FICO on ECC6, including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Asset Accounting (AA)
- Tax Accounting
- Bank Accounting
- Proven experience with banking integrations, payment formats, Electronic Bank Statements, and treasury-related processes.
- Knowledge of ISO 20022 and payment compliance initiatives is highly desirable.
- Experience integrating SAP FI with SD, MM, CO, and third-party applications.
- Strong stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience delivering full project lifecycles including design, build, testing, deployment, and support.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
