SAP Functional Analyst

SAP Functional Analyst:
The SAP Functional Analyst is responsible for providing deep functional expertise across multiple SAP modules, supporting business operations through configuration, enhancements, and solution design. This role partners closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high‑quality SAP solutions, lead functional workshops, and provide 3rd‑line support where required.
What You’ll Do:
SAP Functional Expertise
Provide expert functional knowledge across at least two SAP modules (e.g., MM Purchasing, MM Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Vendor Management). Deliver support for assigned functional areas. Design and configure enhancements and project-related solutions, independently or collaboratively. Identify and implement SAP functionality not currently configured.
Functional Specification & Solution Design
Produce clear, high-quality functional specifications understandable to both business and technical audiences. Ensure alignment with approved business requirements and project documentation. Maintain and update solution documentation to ensure traceability and accuracy. Obtain stakeholder and Senior Functional Analyst sign-off within agreed timelines.
Workshops & Stakeholder Engagement
Prepare structured workshop materials, including diagrams and clear objectives. Communicate workshop agendas effectively to stakeholders in advance. Lead workshops with clear presentation of concepts, objectives, and follow-up actions. Track and resolve parked items and agreed actions.
Communication & Collaboration
Communicate solutions and issues confidently, clearly, and concisely. Engage professionally with stakeholders at all levels across IT and the business. Select appropriate communication methods (e.g., calls vs. email) based on context. Produce professional, audience-appropriate written communications.

Systems & Process Administration
Manage and update IT process and support systems (e.g., Revtrac, ServiceNow). Maintain test scripts and execution records. Administer solution documentation and support governance forums (e.g., Change Review meetings).
Knowledge Sharing & Coaching
Deliver knowledge transfer (KT) sessions and coaching for offshore teams and IT Business Analysts. Promote knowledge sharing across the SAP team. Identify coaching opportunities and effective methods (presentations, documentation, knowledge base articles).
Quality, Accuracy & Time Management
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and consistent working methods. Seek guidance when required to avoid assumptions or errors. Meet or exceed delivery deadlines and adhere to agreed working hours. Ensure accurate and timely timesheet submission.
What You’ll Need:
Strong SAP functional configuration experience across multiple modules. Ability to translate business needs into clear functional specifications. Proven experience leading workshops and engaging senior stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience working with SAP-related support, testing, and documentation tools. Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills.

This is a hybrid-based role that can report out of our Bradford, UK location.
