SAP Functional Manager
Lead the SAP Capability that Powers Cadent’s Operations
As an SAP Functional Manager at Cadent, you’ll play a key role in leading the SAP Functional team, shaping how we design, deliver and support SAP solutions across the organisation. This is a leadership role at the heart of our application management and transformation capability, ensuring that SAP systems are aligned to business priorities and delivering maximum value.
You’ll be responsible for building and managing an in-house SAP functional capability, overseeing development, configuration, and delivery across multiple workstreams. Working closely with delivery teams, architects, suppliers, and stakeholders, you’ll ensure solutions are designed to meet business needs, delivered to a high standard, and supported effectively in operation.
This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible role, driving strategy, influencing direction, and leading a team that supports critical business systems across Cadent.

What you’ll bring
You’re an experienced SAP leader with strong functional knowledge and the ability to operate across strategy and delivery.
SAP Functional Expertise

Deep knowledge across SAP modules such as:
- FICO
- SD
- CRM/CX
- PM
- EWM
- MM
- HR/Payroll
- Procurement

Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA environments and connected systems
Leadership & Delivery Experience
- Proven experience leading and managing SAP functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and delivery commitments
- Experience overseeing third-party delivery and integrations
Strategy & Roadmap Development
- Experience shaping SAP strategies and roadmaps aligned to business needs
- Strong understanding of how SAP supports operational and commercial outcomes
Technical & Integration Awareness
- Knowledge of SAP-connected systems and integrations (e.g., ESRI, Click/NextGen)
- Awareness of cloud environments such as AWS and integration platforms like SAP CPI
Stakeholder & Communication Skills
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience
- SAP professional qualification in a relevant field
- Extensive experience working in SAP environments, ideally within complex or regulated organisations
