SAP Lead Automation Test Engineer

We foster a hands-on, collaborative culture and are currently seeking an SAP Lead Automation Test Engineer to join our Quality Engineering and Test Practice.
Hybrid working policy: Your schedule will combine office, client site, and occasional home work, ensuring you are rarely fully remote.
Pre-employment checks: Successful candidates must undergo identity, nationality/immigration status, 3-year employment history, and an unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).
Your Role
Essential Skills & Responsibilities
- Prove strong experience in SAP SuccessFactors and SAP S/4HANA testing, with a grounding in HR, procurement, or SAP business processes.
- Design and execute automation test strategies tailored to SAP applications and integrations.
- Hold a deep knowledge of automation tools, such as Tricentis Tosca, Selenium, Worksoft Certify, UFT, or TestComplete.
- Assist in building and maintaining automation frameworks for SAP SuccessFactors and SAP S/4HANA, leveraging suitable tools and frameworks.
- Lead automation testing teams, fostering collaboration and driving performance improvements.
- Partner with developers, analysts, and engineers to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
- Manage and track automation test assets in GIT while ensuring proper defect management processes align with test life cycles.
- Maintain proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM/Quality Center, qTest).
- Generate and report on automation testing activities, particularly for System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Collaborate with stakeholders across levels, providing strategic guidance in SAP test automation.
- Correlate CTRL requirements for eligible Security Clearance (SC).

Your Skills & Experience
Technical Proficiencies & Background
- Extensive experience in leading SAP end-to-end (E2E) automation testing, including internal SAP and external non-SAP system integrations.
- Intimate knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors and S/4HANA modules, including:
- Employee Central
- Recruitment and Onboarding
- Financial and Procurement
- Materials Management and Supply Chain
- Expertise in automation testing tools, particularly:
- Tricentis Tosca
- Selenium
- Worksoft Certify
- UFT / TestComplete
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
- Proficiency in test management and defect-tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, or QTest).
- Ability to generate clear, actionable reports for stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle.
Soft Skills & Cultural Fit
- Strong problem-solving mindset and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience in mentoring junior engineers.
- Experience in risk/issue reporting and analysis.
- ISTQB/ISEB software testing certification (Foundation level or higher) preferred but not mandatory (willingness to obtain one welcome).
- Willingness to travel and relocate as project requirements demand.

- Have lived continuously in the UK for the past 5 years.
