- Work closely with business and IT teams to enhance procurement and supply chain operations.
- Contribute to ongoing SAP transformation and optimisation initiatives.
- Support critical SAP MM processes in high-volume enterprise environments.
The Role
As an SAP MM Consultant, you will:
- Support and maintain Materials Management processes in a live SAP ECC environment.
- Ensure smooth procurement, inventory, and vendor management operations in a production setting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain system integrity, improve efficiency, and align with broader SAP transformation strategies.
Your Responsibilities

Support and maintain SAP MM processes, including:
- Procurement
- Inventory management
- Vendor operations

Configure and manage Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, such as:
- Purchase requisitions
- Purchase orders
- Goods receipt
- Invoice verification

Handle production support activities, including:
- Incident management
- Troubleshooting
- Root cause analysis

Manage master data (e.g., material and vendor master records) to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Support system enhancements, configuration updates, and process improvements.

Ensure integration with SAP Financial (FI) and logistics modules for seamless end-to-end operations.

Collaborate with business users to resolve issues and refine system usability.

Monitor system performance and maintain stability in the production environment.

Ensure compliance with governance standards and best practices.
Your Profile
Essential Requirements
- Strong experience with SAP MM (ECC), including configuration and support.
- End-to-end understanding of Procure-to-Pay (PR, PO, contracts, scheduling agreements).
- Hands-on experience in purchasing processes, inventory management, and stock movements.
- Expertise in master data management, including material and vendor master data.
- Knowledge of SAP MM-FI integration (e.g., invoice verification, GR/IR processing).
- Experience in production support, incident management, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage system enhancements and configuration changes.
- Understanding of pricing procedures, release strategies, and account determination.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with teams like FI (Financials), SD (Sales & Distribution), and WM (Warehouse Management).
Desirable Qualities (Bonus Skills)
- Exposure to warehouse management (WM or EWM).
- Knowledge of batch management, serial number tracking, and inventory optimisation.
- Experience with data migration tools like LSMW.
- Basic understanding of IDocs and ALE integration technologies.
- Familiarity with SAP reporting and analytics tools.
- Background in ABAP enhancements/user exits (collaboration with development teams).
- Experience in retail or high-volume transactional environments.
- Knowledge of taxation processes (e.g., GST or regional equivalents).
- Exposure to ECC-to-S/4HANA transitions or brownfield implementations.
- SAP MM certification (advantageous).
