Role Overview
We are seeking a highly specialised SAP PM / MRO Consultant to drive our SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration, ensuring seamless transition of aviation engine manufacturing, maintenance, and design operations.
As a strategic functional advisor, you will:
- Lead end-to-end SAP Asset Management configuration under "Clean Core" principles.
- Enforce standard SAP features while ensuring industry compliance (CAA, EASA, FAA, AS9100).
- Optimise maintenance workflows with predictive maintenance, MRO subcontracting, and digitalisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architecture & Transition Strategy
- Translate aviation business goals into scalable SAP S/4HANA Asset Management blueprints.
- Design temporary coexistence strategies to minimise operational disruptions during phased rollouts.
- Assess legacy SAP ECC customisations, mapping a roadmap for standardised S/4HANA functional adoption.

2. Technical Execution & Governance
- Configure complex SAP PM / EAM modules: Technical Objects, Equipment Master Data, Work Centres, and maintenance hierarchies.
- Facilitate Fit-to-Standard workshops, engaging engineering and maintenance teams.
- Own delivery lifecycle to ensure efficiency, cost savings, and maintenance scheduling improvements.
3. Functional & System Alignment
- Execute Maintenance Orders, Requests/Notifications, and Preventive Plans with cross-system alignment:
- Materials Management (MM) for rotables.
- Production Planning (PP) for capacity optimisation.
- Quality Management (QM) for equipment inspections.
- Integrate SAP PM with ERP systems: PLM, CAD, and MES.
- Optimise MRO subcontracting/lifecycle management for internal & vendor-managed repairs.
4. Domain & Industry Compliance
- Enforce aviation regulation adherence: CAA, EASA, FAA, ITAR, and AS9100 standards.
- Implement traceability tools: batch management, serialisation, and equipment history tracking for engine component genealogy.
- Uphold "Clean Core" standards, avoiding custom ABAP while leveraging Fiori apps & standard APIs.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership
- Coordinate with Enterprise Architects, data migration leads, and integrators for seamless cutovers.
- Document blueprints, testing scripts, and training playbooks for operational compliance.
Requirements
Minimum Skills & Experience
✅ 10+ years of hands-on SAP PM / EAM consulting in global enterprise environments. ✅ Expertise in Aerospace MRO:
- Line/maintenance, engine overhauls, and high-tech repairs. ✅ Advanced configuration skills for:
- Maintenance Orders, Equipment Structure, BOM, and Task Lists. ✅ Track record of leading ≥3 end-to-end SAP implementations, with a preference for ECC → S/4HANA migrations. ✅ Proven industry experience in aviation, defence, or militarised asset maintenance. ✅ Deep understanding of SAP ECC vs. S/4HANA data model differences. ✅ Proficiency in Agile/SAP Activate methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications
🔹 SAP Certified in S/4HANA Asset Management. 🔹 Hands-on engineering structure alignment with SAP PM. 🔹 Experience with Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and FMEA.
