Job Summary
The SAP Programme Manager is a senior position within the Enterprise Delivery Management Team. They will have responsibilities for the success of our projects, from estimation and planning through to execution & customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience in both the SAP Professional Services and Software industry and will be familiar with the challenges of delivering projects to a large and diverse customer base.
Fundamentally this role is around ensuring we deliver high quality projects now, but always looking to the future and working with the Practice Director to develop a best-in-class delivery team across the SAP portfolio.
With direct reports of our SAP Project Managers, we require a candidate who has strong expertise in project delivery and experience in executing roles successfully as Programme Manager, with the ability to engage at Exec level with proactive Steerco meeting engagement on our major programmes. Building and sustaining a strong PM team will be key with the ability to mentor the team leads on appropriately undertaking Steerco meetings and guiding our projects to success.
Ultimately responsible for the health of your programmes, you will ensure we have a Path to Green for any Amber & Red projects and will be responsible for lessons learned and improvements to our delivery methodologies, aligned with the Enterprise Team for learning and consistency.

Key Qualifications
- Proven Leadership: 10+ years of experience leading SAP transformation programmes, including significant tenure in Programme Manager or Delivery Management roles within large consulting or system integrator environments.
- Enterprise Delivery Scale: Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-country SAP implementations exceeding £2M budget and 3,000+ person-days.
- Delivery Organisation Leadership: Extensive experience managing and developing teams of Project Managers, ensuring consistent delivery excellence across multiple engagements.
- SAP Expertise: Deep understanding of the SAP ecosystem, including S/4HANA, ECC, and cloud-based solutions, with proven success across multiple industries (pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, consumer goods, engineering, etc.).
- Strategic Client Engagement: Track record of operating at C-suite level, providing trusted advisory and influencing strategic business outcomes.
- Commercial Accountability: Strong financial management experience, including full P&L ownership, margin optimisation, and contract governance.
- Global Mindset: Exposure to international delivery environments, with an understanding of global delivery models and offshore collaboration.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, guide, and hold accountable a large delivery organisation.
- In-depth understanding of programme governance, risk management, and quality assurance frameworks.
- Demonstrable ability to recover and stabilise distressed projects while maintaining client trust and operational control.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, particularly in executive stakeholder environments.
- Ability to balance strategic oversight with operational discipline, ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery.
- Expertise in pre-sales support, bid management, and solution design, aligning delivery capabilities to client needs.
- Solid grasp of SAP Activate, Agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies, with practical application across enterprise-scale programmes.
- Experienced in managing distributed, multi-location teams, fostering collaboration across time zones and cultures.
- Deep understanding of contractual frameworks, commercial management, and risk-sharing models in consulting engagements.
- Willingness to travel within the UK&I and occasionally internationally for client or delivery leadership engagements.
