SAP Project Manager – ERP Transformation
Location: Southampton
We’re offering a hybrid working model with on-site presence 2–3 days per week.
About the Role
Masentó is partnering with one of the world’s leading engineering companies to support their global SAP S/4HANA programme.
As SAP Project Manager, your role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless transition to standardised global processes and successful adoption across regional units. You’ll bridge the gap between local operations and the global ERP program team, coordinating stakeholders, driving readiness, and delivering a timely, budget-compliant transformation with strong user engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of global ERP process standards in local business areas
- Roll out the SAP S/4HANA global template, aligning with global milestones
- Develop, manage, and execute a comprehensive local implementation plan
- Oversee resources, budgets, timelines, and dependencies
- Coordinate training, testing, go-live activities, and hypercare with multiple teams
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks and issues
- Document key decisions and provide regular progress reporting
- Support critical activities including:
- User mapping
- Data migration
- Integration testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Lead stakeholder engagement and change management
- Nominate and onboard local project roles, ensuring accountability and alignment
- Establish and manage local governance structures and meetings
- Liaise with divisional and global teams for support/escalation
- Ensure accurate user role mapping and access control

Profile Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Business Administration
- Engineering
- IT
- Related field
Experience
- Minimum 5 years in ERP implementations, preferably with SAP S/4HANA
- Proven track record leading cross-functional projects at local/regional levels
Technical & Functional Knowledge
- Strong understanding of business processes in:
- Manufacturing
- Engineering
- Food or pharma/healthcare sectors
Soft Skills
- Exceptional communication and organisation abilities
- Elite stakeholder management and change leadership capabilities
