SAP project manager - Supply chain

Senior SAP Project Manager (Greenfield & Brownfield)

A dynamic project manager with deep expertise in SAP implementations, specialising in greenfield and brownfield projects. Experience in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain domain is highly preferred.

The ideal candidate must have successfully delivered at least two end-to-end SAP implementation projects from inception to live-go-live.


Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources efficiently
  • Oversee end-to-end execution, ensuring milestones are met from initiation to completion

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead cross-functional teams, including SAP consultants, developers, and business stakeholders
  • Drive collaboration and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Foster a results-driven and agile project environment

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify potential risks and bottlenecks proactively
  • Implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays or budget overruns
  • Manage both internal and external risks with a proactive approach

Stakeholder Communication

  • Maintain transparency with clients, senior management, and stakeholders
  • Provide regular progress updates, risk assessments, and deviation reports
  • Ensure clear alignment between technical teams and business requirements

Resource Management

  • Ensure availability of qualified personnel, IT infrastructure, and budget
  • Plan for resource gaps and address them efficiently
  • Optimise cost and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including:
    • Status reports
    • Time and expense tracking
    • Lessons learned and post-mortems

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in SAP project management (greenfield & brownfield)
  • Must have delivered at least 2 end-to-end SAP implementations
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing & Supply Chain domains
  • Strong experience with:
    • Project planning tools (MS Project, [Preferred: Activate Methodology])
  • Certification in SAP Activate for project managers (highly recommended)
  • Exposure to Cloud ALM is a plus but not mandatory
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Leadership in cross-functional teams and change management
  • Comprehensive understanding of SAP methodologies, agile practices, and best practices
