The Role:
SAP Solution Architecture Experience
- Development of the overall vision and underpinning design aligned to business strategic outcomes.
- Create, guide and influence the technical design, configuration and planning implementation of Customer S4 HANA and BTP Integrated Solutions.
- Design at the following layers:
- Business Architecture
- Application Architecture
- Data Architecture
- Infrastructure (Cloud and On Prem) Architecture
- x4 successful S4 HANA Agile implementations in Automotive OEMs
- Integrate elegant solution design for each (sub) system or layer to constitute the whole.
- Facilitate and secure design decisions in a timely manner.
- Create the structure and description of the SAP S4 HANA System and sub systems.
- Work across all S4 HANA value streams i.e. Source to Pay, Plan to Manufacture, Order to Cash, Vehicle Management System, Record to Report, Warehousing and Logistics etc. to drive cross functional seamless design and business capabilities.
- Investigate emerging digital technologies to underpin the S4 HANA and integrated systems roadmap.
- Own the design of a cloud-based platform as well as PaaS, IaaS and SaaS models.
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to building strong working relationships.
- Lead Solution Architecture in the bid and presales stages
Area of Responsibility
- Cloud platform innovation and development.
- BTP Integration Design.
- Oversee development and testing including UAT of end to end solution, integration and connected end points.
- Self-managing own project activities and conducting project reports to executives on occasional basis w.r.t status of activities on going.
- Advise on Automotive Industry standard S4 HANA best practice and how to Fit to Standard.
- Work with design stakeholders and partners to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
- Providing robust design to ensure business solution meet long term business objectives.
- Prepare, Review and Approve solution design changes and assess their impact on the programme.
- Approve requests for development work and ensure adequate justification is given for development over standard SAP functionality.
- Provide the primary design authority and architectural focal point for the project.
- Work with Product Managers and Product Owners to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Develop design decision documents and secure approvals for design decisions.
- Develop security design documents and secure approvals for security design decisions.
- Interpret and map business capability requirements to solution functional delivery.
- Support delivery team for success as required.

Knowledge / Experience
- SAP experience in a senior role (Architect, Functional Integration Consultant, Solution Lead) with strong implementation experience of S4 HANA deployments in the Automobile industry
- Proven Knowledge of major cloud services and IOT solutions (AWS and Snowflake Cloud) expertise.
- Excellent and broad technical knowledge – Understanding of a wide variety of IoT technology and its application to Automotive OEM use cases.
- TOGAF, depth/breadth of solution areas (applications, business analysis, data, integration and infrastructure). Enterprise Architecture methodologies, cloud-based solutions, Digital Evolution, API Management and Intelligent Automation.
- Supplier management and project management are key to manage outsource partners.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning and AI technologies is desirable
- Excellent presentation and reporting skills to give regular updates of progress to management and executive layer
- Knowledge of Data privacy related technology and cyber security protocols is desirable.
- Proactive and must demonstrate high-level of self-motivation.
- Experience of leading workshops, effectively and efficiently gathering the customer’s business requirements
- Share best practice approaches with customers and guide them in their decisions during the requirements gathering and design phases
- Produce top quality documentation
- Experience in handling multiple track landscape.
- Strong problem solving and time management skills, able to manage a queue of support and project work.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills with experience of presenting and ‘selling’ ideas and concepts at all levels of an organisation.
- Proven ability to conceptualize and communicate solutions, making complex ideas understandable.
- A motivated individual who is able to work under own initiative and tight time pressures - planning, prioritising and controlling own workload.
- The successful applicant will be able to execute tasks on schedule with minimal direction.
- Strong consulting background.
- Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills and leadership capabilities.
- Experience of multiple domains (Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Finance Vehicle Management etc.
- Experience in analysis and architecting solutions which includes designing entire solution for an enterprise and distributed applications on various platforms.
- Ability to deliver robust end to end solutions.
- Provide industry standard practices and alternatives as required as part of the functional design documents.
- Results driven, demonstrates, tenacity, drive and perseverance, with the ability to deliver in a complex, highly demanding environment.
- Ability to combine a short term, pragmatic focus with longer term strategy
- Resilient, energetic and enthusiastic, able to deliver results under pressure, whilst responding constructively to challenging new ideas and inputs
- Challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style.
