About The Job You’re Considering
Due to the nature of the work and clearance required, this role is only open to UK residents.
The role involves the analysis, preparation, and execution of the System Test phase for one or more release-based projects. Reporting to a Test Lead, responsibilities include reviewing customer requirements, functional specifications, and APIs; performing test analysis to identify test cases; creating test scripts, exploratory charters, and/or automated test scripts using TOSCA; preparing test data; and executing and recording tests.
The role requires a strong understanding of test techniques and Risk Based Testing (RBT) to verify outcomes against expected results and to produce accurate, auditable records in line with quality processes and procedures. It also requires ensuring full traceability of tests to user requirements, risks, and functional specifications.
As a Test Analyst, you will contribute to varied and challenging projects by applying both manual and automated testing approaches, using your broad testing skills to support effective and reliable delivery.
Your Role
You will find this is a dynamic role with opportunities to develop IT expertise, as well as the client-facing soft skills you need to excel in consulting.
- Perform test planning activities, including the ability to impact test analysis, data preparation, and test execution of the proportion of work allocated to the sub-contractor for the Systems Test (ST) stage.
- Undertake test analysis, applying test techniques and using written test basis including Functional Specifications (FS), Use Cases, user requirements/stories, interface documents (Extended Physical Interface Definition Document (EPIDD) and API descriptions to identify appropriate tests that provide coverage of the change (using a risk-based test approach).
- Write formal, detailed test scripts that plan out the test execution by steps and verification points, or objectives if using a Test Charter, specifying test techniques to be used. Include test prerequisites, test data requirements, and priority. Provide traceability back to the test basis.
- As a vital part of our business unit, you’ll contribute to first-class end-to-end solutions in your assignments. You will play an active role in defining our practices, standards, and ways of working, and apply them to your role. You’ll be open to working across organization and team boundaries to ensure we bring the best to our customers.
- SAP Test Analyst will execute tests as per the test script, or via Exploratory Test Charter, applying the techniques specified. Progress will be advised verbally and/or in writing via report templates, as per the local agreed process.

Your Skills And Experience
- An ability to plan and organise your workload to achieve deadlines, prioritising as necessary.
- Strong communications skills and the ability to influence stakeholders, engender trust, and build productive team relationships.
- We expect all our team members to express our seven core values which form the basis for our rules of conduct within our teams.
- A proven background in testing within complex environments using both manual and automated techniques (ISEB / ISTQB Foundation or equivalent is preferred).
- Test Automation experience using TOSCA or similar automation tools is desirable.
- An understanding of Assurance and Test Strategies.
- Competency in analysis of requirements and identifying test conditions.
