SAP Test Lead - SC Cleared
Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a SAP Test Lead based in Shropshire or West Sussex for an initial 6-month contract.

Job Spec:
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to work within our SAP Delivery Area which supports and implements Digital solutions for our client. The flagship Market Unit is one of the largest of its kind globally. The SAP Delivery Area is dynamic and fast-moving. In this role as an SAP Test Lead, you’ll make a positive contribution with focus on leading a team of SAP Test Analysts in the preparation and execution of the test phases of one or more release-based projects. You will be involved in projects that are varied and challenging and require a sound software and system testing skills, with a strong knowledge of broad testing techniques and procedures.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead the testing activities for one or more projects each with one or more Test Analysts
- Assign work to Project Test Analysts
- Monitor progress against plans/expectations for the project
- Resolution of scheduling conflicts, escalating to the Platform Test Lead where necessary
- Provide explanations on between planned and actual effort where applicable
- Accurate booking of time to assigned project codes
- Provide regular and ad hoc reports on progress, risks and issues to the Platform Test Lead and the Project Manager
- Hold regular team meetings to highlight local communications, to track progress and address risks and issues
- Ensure effective skills and knowledge transfer within team
- Manage and motivate team members performance, including recognition of performance
- Coach Project Test Analysts in SAP DA processes and industry standard test techniques.
- Escalate resource requests to the Platform Test Lead
- Knowledge Management within team and provision of artefacts for Knowledge Repository
- Attend Platform Test Lead meetings
- Adherence to processes including artefact reviews and entry/exit criteria checkpoints
- Participate in/lead test workshops as appropriate
- Test Sign off documentation
- In consultation with the Test Governance Manager produce and agree a project system test plan
- In consultation with the Test Governance Manager produce and agree a project system test completion report
- Recognised as a Test SME for the SAP DA to provide day to day support to Project Test Analysts
- Support process improvement initiatives
- Participate in interviews where required

Key Skills:
- ISEB/ISTQB Foundation, Agile Tester Extension (or equivalent experience)
- Defect Management Tool Experience (JIRA or Similar)
- Familiarity with and ability to coach different test techniques where applicable.
- Understanding of technologies used within the platform domains
- Understanding of the SDLC including waterfall and agile delivery models
- Understanding of the Account Assurance and Test Strategy and the Account Review Process

- Act as an ambassador for the SAP Portfolio Testing community
- Represent yourself and the company by maintaining professionalism at all times with respect to presentation, verbal communications, written communications, maintaining a positive attitude and behaviours.
- Ensure any issues that affect successful achievement of customer goals are raised at the right level and in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Adjust behaviours accordingly once feedback has been received from senior staff.
- Must be a leader to all Project Test Analysts. Organise and monitor the work of others as required.
- Deal with issues on site, or escalate appropriately when support from the Delivery Director, HR or Finance is required
