SAP Test Lead
SAP Test Lead required to join a large-scale SAP delivery programme, leading testing activities across multiple release-based projects.
This is a long-term engagement requiring regular onsite attendance (1 day per week) in either the West Midlands or West Sussex.
Required Skills & Responsibilities
- Lead SAP testing activities across one or more projects, managing a team of SAP Test Analysts.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor test execution activities against agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Assign workloads, track progress, and provide regular reporting on risks, issues, and delivery status.
- Coach and support Test Analysts on testing processes, techniques, and best practices.
- Create and maintain system test plans, completion reports, and test sign-off documentation.
- Facilitate test workshops and ensure adherence to testing processes, governance, and entry/exit criteria.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to testing standards and best practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert within the SAP testing community.

Skills Required
- Strong SAP testing experience with proven Test Lead / Test Management capability.
- Experience leading and mentoring testing teams.
- ISEB/ISTQB Foundation certification, Agile Tester extension, or equivalent testing experience.
- Experience with defect management tools such as JIRA or similar.
- Strong understanding of test techniques, processes, and software testing methodologies.
- Experience across Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Ability to analyse requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to define effective test coverage.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

- Experience working within SAP delivery programmes.
- Knowledge of SAP testing governance and assurance processes.
- Experience within large-scale, regulated, or public sector environments.
- Understanding of SAP platforms and associated technologies.
