SAP Transformation Lead

SAP Transformation Lead Leonardo UK

Salary Range

£62,000 - £90,000

Leonardo UK operates a grade-based salary framework with broad bands. The salary range reflects the approved grade band for this role or a narrower hiring range within that band, benchmarked against the external market. Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.

Your Impact

Join Leonardo UK as an SAP Transformation Lead and drive a pivotal enterprise-wide SAP upgrade, transforming the digital backbone of a leading defence organisation. This is a unique opportunity to:

  • Lead a complex transformation programme across engineering, manufacturing, and operations.
  • Ensure alignment with high standards of security, performance, and compliance in mission-critical environments.
  • Define a multi-year SAP technology roadmap, integrating with secret (or higher) clearance systems and defence regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership

    • Own and drive the end-to-end upgrade of legacy SAP systems, spanning Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Support, Finance, and more.
    • Define and execute the upgrade strategy, including scope, deployment approach, risk mitigation, and resource planning.
    • Develop a multi-year SAP roadmap aligned with business objectives and defence compliance (including classified system management).
  • Technical & Strategic Execution

    • Lead technical assessment, data migration, business process redesign, and cutover planning.
    • Rationalise or redesign custom code and integrations to meet future business requirements.
    • Ensure process standardisation, automation, and adoption of new SAP capabilities (e.g., digital thread, Industry 4.0 principles).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
