Data Architect - SC Cleared
£500/day | Inside IR35 | 3-Month Contract (Likely Extension) | Hybrid - Corsham (1-2 days per week)
We're looking for an experienced SC Cleared Data Architect to support the design and delivery of an enterprise Data Catalogue capability for a major Government programme.
You'll be responsible for defining enterprise data and metadata architecture, helping ensure data is discoverable, trusted, secure and reusable across the organisation. Working alongside Business Analysts, Data Engineers and governance teams, you'll provide architectural leadership and help shape the future data landscape.

- Design enterprise data and metadata architecture.
- Develop data models, taxonomies and business glossaries.
- Define metadata, data quality, lineage and governance standards.
- Support metadata migration and integration into the Data Catalogue.
- Provide architectural guidance to engineering and delivery teams.
- Ensure solutions align with security, governance and enterprise architecture standards.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders across the programme.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience as a Data Architect on large or complex programmes.
- Strong data modelling and enterprise data architecture experience.
- Knowledge of data governance and metadata management.
- Experience with cloud data platforms.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Active SC Clearance.

Desirable
- Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Informatica or similar Data Catalogue platforms.
- Defence or Government experience.
- Knowledge of security classification and information assurance.
- Existing MODNET access (highly desirable but not essential).
Contract Details
- £500/day Inside IR35
- Initial 3-month contract with likely extension
- Hybrid working - Corsham (1-2 days per week)
- Immediate start preferred
