SC Cleared IT Field Engineer
SC Cleared Field Engineer – Contract Opportunity
SC Cleared Field Engineer – 1 month+ Contract – £240/day via umbrella company – UK-wide – SCC FLEX CONTRACT
We are seeking an experienced Field Engineer to support a nationwide telephony upgrade and decommissioning programme. The role involves on-site surveys, installation readiness assessments, decommissioning of legacy telephony systems, and installation of new telephony solutions. This project is scheduled to commence in June and will require travel to multiple sites.
Your responsibilities as a SC Cleared Field Engineer: • Conduct on-site surveys to assess existing telephony rooms, infrastructure readiness, and installation feasibility. • Perform decommissioning of legacy telephony systems and ensure racks and cabling are left safe and tidy. • Install new telephony equipment, complete cabling/patching, and carry out functional testing. • Capture clear photographic evidence and complete survey, installation, and decommissioning documentation. • Coordinate site access, follow security requirements, and ensure all work is completed safely and professionally.

As a suitable SC Cleared Field Engineer, you will have: • Previous field engineering experience involving on-site surveys, installations, and decommissioning activities. • Strong understanding of telephony environments, rack installations, and structured cabling standards. • Ability to follow technical procedures, document findings clearly, and work independently across multiple sites. • Comfortable working in secure or access-controlled environments and adhering to safety protocols.
