SC Cleared Security Contract Delivery Specialist

SC Cleared Cyber Security Governance & Assurance Specialist

Location: Manchester, Bristol or Glasgow

Duration: 6 months with possible extension

Rate: £650–£800 per day (via an approved umbrella company)

Essential: Must be willing and eligible to undergo the SC (Security Check) Clearance process


Our client, a leading communications provider, is looking for a passionate Cyber Security Governance & Assurance Specialist to join their team, safeguarding vital UK operations against cyber threats.

About the Role

You will ensure robust security governance and compliance while protecting an organisation’s most critical assets. Your role blends technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement to maintain rigorous security standards across contracts and operational processes.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage and oversee contractual security obligations throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance at every stage.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, aligning with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and drive proactive mitigation strategies to protect data, systems, and reputation.
  • Monitor third-party supplier compliance and coordinate security accreditation processes.
  • Lead governance meetings, set agendas, track actions, and resolve security issues efficiently.
  • Provide expert security advice to internal teams and clients, fostering continuous security improvements.
  • Stay ahead of evolving cyber threats by collaborating with security teams to inform strategy and policy.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders at senior levels, influencing decision-making in security-related discussions.
  • Strong grasp of security frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and compliance standards (e.g., industry regulations, certifications like SOC2, ISO 27001, or security-accreditation processes).
  • Excellent communication, report-writing, and organisational skills—balancing complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • Experience in contract management with a focus on security accreditation and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Preferred: Relevant certification (e.g., CISM, CISSP, or equivalent).
  • Ability or eligibility to acquire a security clearance aligned with role requirements.
