Job Title: SC Cleared Senior Software Engineer

Role Summary:
In response to strategic growth initiatives, Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with active SC clearance. This pivotal role involves developing and maintaining mission-critical software systems, supporting the design of scalable, secure, and efficient solutions. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects that enhance national security and technological capabilities, making a meaningful difference in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to define, develop, and refine software architecture for complex projects.
- Design, code, test, and support scalable front-end and back-end systems using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Manage source code using industry-standard version control tools, ensuring code quality and consistency.
- Develop responsive UI components with JavaScript/TypeScript and React, ensuring seamless user experiences.
- Build robust server-side components employing languages such as Java, Python, or Go, aligned with project requirements.
- Utilise containerisation tools like Docker to create consistent development, testing, and deployment environments.
- Lead or participate in the automation of build, test, and deployment processes via CI/CD pipelines to optimise delivery cycles.
- Conduct code reviews, provide mentoring to junior team members, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry best practices, and security principles relevant to software development.

Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong focus on secure and scalable systems.
- Active SC security clearance is mandatory.
- Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git.
- Hands-on experience in front-end development with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
- Background in backend development using Java, Python, or Go.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, including data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with containerisation tools such as Docker.
- Working knowledge of DevOps practices, including setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively within collaborative teams.
- Ability to assess and select appropriate technologies to meet project goals.

Desirable & Developing Skills:
- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices.

- Interest or experience with Rust programming language.
