Role Summary
In response to increased project demands and strategic growth, our Client is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with security clearance at the SC (Security Check) level. Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain secure software applications aligned with project specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design innovative solutions for simulation, modelling, or autonomous system development.
- Analyse technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
- Ensure all development work adheres to necessary security standards and protocols.
- Document technical processes and prepare detailed reports for internal review and client delivery.
- Support integration and testing activities on client sites as needed.
- Maintain awareness of evolving security requirements and best practices in software development.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in software engineering, with a strong background in developing large, complex applications.
- Existing security clearance at SC level or higher.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.
- Knowledge of simulation and modelling techniques, including experience with simulation engines or autonomous systems.
- Ability to understand and work with hardware performance considerations and large codebases.
- Excellent technical reporting and communication skills.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex requirements.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and work at client sites.

Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous involvement in defence-related projects or working within secure environments.
- Experience working with defence industry standards and protocols.
- Academic background in STEM or computing disciplines.
- Familiarity with tools such as MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience working with gaming engines like Unreal Engine or similar is advantageous but not essential.
