Job title: SC Cleared Solutions Architect
Location: Bristol (Remote/Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months possible extension
Rate: Up to £650 per day via an approved umbrella company
Must be willing and eligible to go through the SC Clearance process
Our client, a leading organisation in the defence and aviation sector, is seeking a talented Solutions Architect to support their Information Services division. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale, complex projects within a secure military environment, delivering innovative solutions that meet stringent standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and documenting business requirements, architecture, and design for diverse IT solutions.
- Ensuring solutions adhere to Babcock technology standards, governance, and ITIL frameworks.
- Assessing existing software/hardware interfaces and recommending enhancements.
- Providing technical support, facilitation, and planning to ensure clear understanding of system needs.
- Collaborating with Enterprise Architects to create and update standards and processes.
- Supporting bid activities and new business ventures with technical expertise.
- Managing resourcing and ensuring smooth project delivery through effective process creation and monitoring.

What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale technical solutions, ideally within the aviation or military sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, Azure/AWS Cloud, and mobile device management.
- Technical qualifications such as MCSE, CCNA, or similar.
- Experience with secure SaaS/PaaS solutions, third-party integrations, and environments aligned with government standards.
- Familiarity with architectural tools, TOGAF, and Prince II or equivalent management methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Security clearance to MOD SC level or higher is essential.
