About the Role
Aberdeen City Podiatry Service is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Minor Surgery Specialist Podiatrist to join our forward-thinking and dynamic team.
This role is ideal for an experienced podiatrist with a strong interest in nail surgery and minor surgical procedures, who is looking to further develop advanced clinical skills within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Deliver high-quality minor surgical interventions, including nail surgery (both partial and total nail avulsion)
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of podiatric conditions
- Work autonomously within clinical guidelines and professional scope of practice
- Provide patient-centred care with a focus on safety, infection control, and excellent outcomes
- Contribute to service development, audit, and clinical governance activities
- Support and mentor junior staff and students where appropriate
Requirements
You Will
- Be HCPC registered Podiatrist with Local Anaesthetic certification
- Have demonstrable experience in minor surgery / nail surgery
- Possess excellent clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
- Be committed to continuous professional development
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
