Job Opportunity: SCADA/EMS Engineer

Location: UK (London) with around 50% travel to site

About Us

We’re looking for a SCADA/EMS Engineer who’s passionate about renewable energy and excited to deliver mission-critical monitoring and control systems for cutting-edge projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Configure, deploy, and commission SCADA and EMS solutions for renewable energy projects (BESS, PV, Smart Grids, etc.).
  • Deliver projects from design through commissioning and into operations.
  • Lead on-site pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, customer acceptance, and technical training.
  • Integrate with system components such as firewalls, UPS, I/O devices, RTUs, and other hardware.
  • Produce technical documentation including I/O Lists, Functional Design Specifications, and system architecture drawings, among others.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure successful delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring confidence at every stage.

What You Bring

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Background in renewable energy, energy storage, or industrial control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with SCADA, EMS and similar control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, IEC-104).
  • Knowledge of networks, servers, Linux-based systems, and systems integration.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.
  • Experience with industry standards, cybersecurity practices, or relevant certifications (desirable).
  • Passion for sustainable energy and innovation.
