About the Role

We’re on the lookout for a Scenic Project Manager to join our Scenic Team, specialising in delivering high-quality scenic solutions across a variety of projects. Our Scenic Project Managers create efficiency within the Scenic team by leading the Scenic elements of projects and collaborating with the wider team to ensure seamless, quality delivery.

  • First and foremost, you're a team player. You're willing to roll your sleeves up and help your team. We all jump in wherever we are needed at EC.
  • You’re comfortable interpreting and understanding Creative briefs and ideas, and fluid designs throughout the project don’t faze you.
  • You're a collaborator and understand that effective communication is at the heart of every successful project.
  • You have a strong understanding of scenic construction methods and a wide knowledge of materials, including emerging sustainable alternatives.
  • You’re happy to share ideas for new initiatives and ways of working, and equally happy to hear other people’s ideas.
  • You’re an organised multi-tasker; being across multiple projects doesn’t faze you.
  • You are passionate about sustainability. You are aware of what is going on in the wider world, and you use that awareness to continually push for sustainable solutions to Scenic challenges.

It would also be great if you:

  • Have Vectorworks/AutoCAD/SketchUp experience
  • Have Adobe Creative Suite experience.
  • Conversant in the MS Office suite
  • Experience of Monday project management system.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with production teams to translate design concepts into manufacturable scenic elements, ensuring feasibility and client expectations are met.
  • Offering cost-effective, practical, and sustainable solutions to proposed designs.
  • Provide precise cost estimates for scenic elements on a project, ensuring accuracy while maintaining a focus on commercial viability and profitability.
  • Closely manage project budgets throughout the production process.
  • Manage logistics, including equipment, crew coordination, and site delivery/installation in collaboration with operations teams.
  • Liaising between internal teams (fabrication, warehouse, floristry, technical, and dry hire) and external stakeholders, including clients, venues, agencies, and third-party suppliers
  • Work closely with the purchasing team to research and source suitable materials for projects, ensuring quality and alignment with project needs.
  • Oversee the production of graphics and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Create and maintain project timelines, Health & Safety documentation, and detailed resource schedules.
  • Provide on-site management for scenic installations, challenges and ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Support workshop teams during the manufacturing process and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct site visits, assess logistics, and participate in post-project evaluations to drive process improvements.
