Scheduler – Developer Services

About the Role

Right across our infrastructure, we prioritise renewal and reimagine—so whether you're early in your career or looking for new challenges, growth opportunities are part of our mission. Our purpose is to deliver essential infrastructure services for life, with a customer-centric, safety-first approach in a supportive, collaborative environment where everyone is encouraged to thrive.

We safeguard the water supply, enhance environmental performance, and manage demand for future generations. Our portfolio includes extending asset lifecycles, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards, and delivering efficient solutions. Our team collectively brings 140+ years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

This role focuses on Developer Services—coordinating new connections, service installations, mains laying, diversions, and related network expansions, ensuring quality and punctual delivery.

Key Responsibilities

The Scheduler plays a vital role in managing reactive and planned maintenance activities, coordinating teams to meet contractual SLAs, productivity targets, and operational excellence. Core duties include:

  • Managing workload distribution across operational teams
  • Optimising geographical scheduling for efficiency
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating scheduling risks
  • Ensuring operatives receive a balanced daily workload
  • Maintaining accurate system records (real-time data, performance tracking)
  • Monitoring appointments and managing customer service requests
  • Reallocating unattended tasks promptly and effectively
  • Regularly updating stakeholders through whereabouts reports, shift handovers, or performance QBRs
  • Collaborating with internal/external stakeholder teams (procurement, field operations, clients)
  • Ensuring compliance, efficiency, and delightful customer interactions
  • Provide daily briefings to on-site teams and clearly communicate role priorities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
