The Scheduler & Permitter is responsible for the effective coordination and scheduling of operational work across field-based teams. The role ensures daily workloads are optimised, work is sequenced and routed efficiently, and stakeholders are kept informed where plans change.

Working as part of a scheduling function, the Scheduler & Permitter supports safe, compliant and efficient delivery of work orders, task orders or client appointments (terminology varies by division), helping to achieve contractual, regulatory and customer performance targets.

  • Coordinate and schedule daily work for field operatives / engineers across multiple workstreams, ensuring plans are realistic and achievable.
  • Optimise daily workloads so each operative has a balanced schedule that maximises productivity while remaining safe and compliant.
  • Allocate additional or “filler” tasks where required to ensure effective use of available resource.
  • Review upcoming work and make adjustments to reflect priorities, resource availability and operational constraints.
  • Ensure all work is scheduled in line with relevant policies, procedures and safety requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
