Scheduler (Central Control) – Yorkshire Water

The Role
Proposed Location & Flexibility
- Initial: Bradford (moving to Leeds Valley Park, summer 2026)
- Hours: 37 hours per week (Wednesday–Friday office-based, home working on Tuesday and Thursday)
- Type: Permanent, Flexible Hybrid (Scheduling adapted to work-life balance, including shared roles where possible).
Key Responsibilities
Your role will include:

Coordinating Field Operations:
- Creating and managing reactive and planned work schedules for field teams.
- Optimising efficiency using Yorkshire Water systems and best practices.

Customer & Cross-Team Communication:
- Liaising with customers to confirm work schedules, provide updates, and manage expectations.
- Handling incoming queries, communicating arrival times, and resolving issues optimally.

Risks & Performance Monitoring:
- Tracking progress, identifying risks/delays, and escalating where necessary.
- Taking proactive measures to maximise productivity and achieve ‘right first-time’ outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement:
- Working collaboratively with Triage, Planners, and Field Teams to prioritise workloads and resources.
Do You Have What It Takes?
Essential Criteria
We’re looking for someone to:
- Build and maintain trust with stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Display exceptional problem-solving and organisational skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Excel in IT system navigation—preferably with experience using Yorkshire Water platforms.
- Show influence through negotiation and collaborative decision-making.
- Embrace change, culture, and Values Alignment at Yorkshire Water.
Desired but Not Essential
It would be advantageous to have:
- Experience with performance targets and meeting operational targets.
- Exposure to SAP or similar planning systems for high-volume tasks.
- Awareness of water industry standards and operational processes.
