About the Role
As a Scheduling Manager, you’ll be positioned centrally within our operations—ensuring that the appropriate personnel are positioned for maximum efficiency at all critical junctures. This role transcends traditional scheduling: you’ll shape how our workforce operates globally, driving performance, efficiency, and top-tier service delivery. Through leadership of a pivotal team, your work will influence the company’s strategic trajectory, touching all facets of operational excellence—including customer satisfaction, operational performance, and employee experience. You’ll operate with purpose, fostering innovations that enhance your organisation’s mission of creating a safer world.

Job Description: What You’ll Be Doing
As a Scheduling Manager, you will:
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of schedulers, fostering a culture of high performance where individuals are supported, motivated, and held accountable for achieving excellence.
- Assume responsibility for workforce scheduling through WFM systems, ensuring full, effective shift coverage across all operations.
- Monitor live operations and make real-time decisions confidently to pivot in response to demand fluctuations, guaranteeing seamless service delivery at all times.
- Ensure all scheduling activities remain compliant with contracts, legislation, and company policies, upholding the highest standards of operational integrity and ethics.
- Serve as the prominent escalation authority for workforce and scheduling issues, resolving problems with efficiency and efficacy.
- Utilise data, trends, and forecasting insights to predict future labour requirements and iteratively enhance workflow planning.
- Oversee roster accuracy, reducing payroll discrepancies and operational errors while streamlining invoice delivery.
- Partner with recruitment and planning teams to align staffing levels with business demands optimally.
- Ensure all personnel adhere to licensing and training standards, elevating readiness for deployment.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, identifying innovative and efficient methods to elevate overall service excellence.
- Embed a high-performance culture rooted in company values, centred on collaboration, accountability, and results.

Qualifications: What We Seeking
You will bring:
- A natural leadership presence, exemplifying energy, ownership, and accountability.
- Experience with WFM systems (preference for Timegate qualification).
- A data-driven philosophy, balancing long-term strategy with hands-on delivery excellence.
- Ability to thrive in complexity, making decisive and pragmatic decisions under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills—cultivating enduring relationships across teams.
- A checkable employment history tracing at least five years, or documentary evidence covering periods of unemployment, self-employment, or full-time/part-time education within that span.

- Right to work in the UK.
- Independence and resilience in working autonomously.
- Superlative organisational and IT skills.
- Creative written and verbal communication capabilities.
Desirable but not mandatory:
- Relevant experience in scheduling, workforce planning, or operations.
