This Scheduling Manager will be at the centre of operations, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time—every time. It’s about more than just managing schedules; you’ll help shape workforce function, drive performance, efficiency, and service delivery. You’ll lead and develop a critical team while influencing the future of workforce planning.

Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
As the Scheduling Manager, you’ll:
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of schedulers to create a high-performing environment where everyone is supported, motivated, and accountable for excellent delivery.
- Take full ownership of workforce scheduling—ensuring comprehensive and effective shift coverage across all operations using WFM systems (preference for Timegate experience).
- Monitor live operations, make real-time adjustments to meet changing demands, and maintain continuous service.
- Ensure all scheduling complies with contracts, legislation, and company policies—maintaining high ethical and operational standards.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for workforce and scheduling issues, resolving challenges quickly and effectively.
- Use data, trends, and forecasting insights to predict future resourcing needs and continuously improve workforce planning.
- Oversee rostering accuracy, reduce pay issues, prevent errors, and ensure on-time invoicing.
- Support recruitment and workforce planning to maintain staff levels aligned with business needs.
- Confirm all personnel meet licensing and training requirements for deployment readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement, identifying smarter, more efficient ways to enhance service delivery.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For
You’ll bring:
- A natural leadership mindset with energy, ownership, and accountability.
- Experience with workforce management (WFM) systems (Timegate desirable).
- Data-driven thinking—balancing strategic vision and operational delivery.
- The ability to thrive in complexity, making confident decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to build relationship-building across teams.
- A five-year checkable employment history or documentation for gaps, self-employment, or education.

- The right to work legally in the UK.
- Independent working abilities.
- Strong organisational and IT skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
