Habitat Energy - Scheduling & Operations Analyst

We have a vacancy for a Scheduling & Operations Analyst to join our team based in Oxford. This role will assist our 24/7 trading team with the day-to-day optimization of our portfolio of battery storage assets across wholesale, balancing, and ancillary markets. The Scheduling and Operations Analyst will provide in and out-of-hours cover to assist with monitoring our live assets, ensuring any issues are communicated and raised with relevant parties. This role also includes an element of trade support and confirmation checking with relevant trade counterparties.

Responsibilities

  • Live Operations:

    • Monitoring of live energy storage and renewable assets both during normal office hours and out of hours as part of a shift rota
    • Respond to any asset issues that occur in a timely manner as per issue escalation policies
  • Trading and Optimisation Support:

    • Ensuring planned asset dispatch is delivered as per the traders' instructions
    • Assist traders and the technology team with asset outage planning and testing
    • Ensuring correct and accurate nomination of traded positions with our trading counterparts.
  • Asset Planning and Reporting:

    • Ensure asset warranty conditions are tracked and managed effectively
    • Ensuring clients and customers are kept informed on asset conditions, and auditing delivery against our requirements
  • Performance Monitoring, Reporting, and Analysis:

    • Responsible for performing analysis on operational and commercial data
    • Updating internal databases with trading-related information
    • Generation of incident reports and engagement with internal technology teams to ensure issues are reported and tracked

  • Ability to multitask and retain excellent attention to detail

  • Must be able to operate independently and be happy to work in an office environment on a shift rotation
  • Decisive and able to use own initiative in dealing with operational problems
  • Familiarity with MS Excel
