Scheme Manager
Location: Beane River View, Hertford Noble House, Watford
Salary: £25,887 - £26,687 per year
Hours: 35 hours per week
About the Role
We are seeking a Scheme Manager based in Hertford, who will work within the Independent Living Team. In this role, you will:
- Encourage residents to maintain their well-being and independence
- Support the delivery of high-quality, safe, and value-for-money housing management, ensuring these services meet the needs of customers and organisational objectives.
This position resides within Sanctuary Housing Services, which oversees properties across England. This service includes:
- General rented housing
- Market rent properties
- Shared ownership
- Homeownership accommodation
- Housing-related services, including lettings, debt and tenancy management, and customer services support.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance and Health & Safety
- Adhere to legislative and regulatory requirements for housing services, ensuring homes are clean and safe.
- Conduct compliance testing, risk assessments, and scheme inspections.
- Monitor and coordinate fault reporting and monitoring to maintain standards.
Resident Engagement
- Promote resident involvement and provide access to local community services and agencies to foster well-being and independence.

Stakeholder Collaboration
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, service providers (including contractors), and residents.
- Identify shortfalls in service delivery.
- Facilitate service improvement consultations, resolve issues or instigate effective resolution methods.
- Ensure customers are appropriately informed as issues are addressed.
Service Coordination
- Oversee the delivery of local services, ensuring schemes are kept clean and secure in line with Group standards and lease obligations.
- Monitor contractor performance and take necessary actions.
- Escalate issues requiring more complex intervention, as needed.
Skills and Experience
- Some experience in supporting older adults and understanding their individual needs, or similar roles.
- Working knowledge of the key needs and services available for residents.
- Experience with good practice in resident involvement or customer participation, including knowledge of associated activities and practices.
- Skills in problem-solving and implementing effective solutions, including referrals where necessary.
- Proficiency in handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
[Essential Qualifications]
- A full valid driving license (necessary for essential travel).
- Own vehicle will be required; travel will cover both sites.

[Salary and Hours]
- Role salary: £25,887 (increasing to £26,687 after one year, subject to satisfactory performance).
- Full-time equivalent salary is £27,736 based on 37.5 hours per week, increasing to £28,593 after one year, subject to satisfactory performance.
