Role Overview
This is a genuinely high-impact role sitting at the centre of our schemes strategy across Clear and Brokerbility.
You’ll take technical ownership of a portfolio of scheme products, shaping how they’re built, positioned and performing in the market. This isn’t just oversight - you’ll be directly influencing commercial outcomes, insurer relationships, and the future direction of our schemes proposition.
It’s a fast-moving, commercially driven environment. You’ll need to be comfortable operating with pace, making decisions, and balancing technical excellence with real business outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing
Owning and Delivering Performance
- Take technical ownership of a portfolio of schemes across Clear and Brokerbility
- Act as the go-to technical lead for schemes and delegated authority (DA) business
- Lead scheme tenders and re-tenders, securing strong, competitive outcomes
- Conduct scheme audits, ensuring compliance, performance and alignment with agreements
- Build and manage key insurer and capacity provider relationships
Driving Improvement and Innovation
- Lead product development and innovation, enhancing proposition and performance
- Identify opportunities to improve structure, efficiency and commercial outcomes
- Monitor scheme performance against targets and insurer expectations
- Bring market insight and technical expertise to shape the future portfolio
- Contribute to the development of the wider group schemes strategy

Leading and Influencing
- Act as a technical point of contact across the business
- Play an active role in the Group Schemes Committee
- Build strong relationships with broking teams, internal stakeholders and partners
- Lead and develop a team of up to 6 Scheme Managers — setting expectations, driving performance and supporting growth
- Help shape a strong, connected schemes community across Clear and Brokerbility

- Confident leadership of tenders, negotiations and technical discussions

About You
You’ll bring a strong mix of technical depth, commercial awareness and leadership capability.
- Experience in schemes, delegated authority or underwriting
- Strong track record working with insurers and capacity providers
- Confidence leading tenders, negotiations and market discussions
- Experience managing scheme performance, audits and compliance
- Able to balance technical detail with commercial decision-making
- Strong stakeholder management across complex environments
- Experience leading and developing teams (or ready to step into it)
- Comfortable operating with autonomy, pace and accountability
