About the Role
Join our dedicated team as a School Admissions Assistant, playing a crucial role in managing the admissions process for families and schools in Bracknell Forest. This is a full-time, 10-month fixed-term contract for maternity cover.

About the Team
You’ll be part of a small, supportive team specialising in school admissions, supporting schools and families with complex admissions legislation and the School Admissions Code. The role is fast-paced, varied, and rewarding, with clear deadlines throughout the year. While you’ll work independently, collaboration is key to ensuring all legal deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities

Process admissions applications for:
- First entry to primary schools
- Transfers from infant to junior schools
- Secondary school admissions
- In-year applications

Maintain school waiting lists and collect Roll-on-Roll data from maintained schools and academies as required.

Administer Free School Meal (FSM) applications through the Eligibility Checking Engine, communicating results to relevant schools for Pupil Premium funding.

Provide administrative support to the School Admissions Team, ensuring efficient clerical and operational workflows.
